Medical education and raising awareness of Very Low Calorie Diets (VLCDs), the use of Meal Replacement Plans (MRPs) and supervised weight management are important parts of our role.

Healthcare professionals may contact  to request further information or arrange surgery or hospital presentations on supervised weight management.

VLCDs have been safely used for more than 30 years by millions of patients worldwide. They are increasingly used to manage patients where weight is a significant contributor to their condition, such as hypertension and joint disease.

VLCD is also referred to as Total Diet Replacement (TDR). This diet method replaces all ordinary food with nutrient complete formulations.

Completion of a patient medical questionnaire is required before commencing Total Diet Replacement (TDR). The pharmacist will review the screening form and if required, will contact the patients’ G.P. to discuss their suitability for TDR.
