Is “The Menopause” making me gain weight?
Published: 24/08/23

Whilst it is true that menopause means women are more likely to gain fat around stomach, hips and thigh areas, you can still manage your weight.

As men and women age muscle mass is reduced and so your body uses slightly less calories every day. The difference may be small but adds up over months and years. Increasing physical activity and eating a little less are essential if you are to maintain your weight as you get older.

If your weight is creeping up slowly why not try our NewWeigh Meal Replacement Plan (MRP), or if your weight issue is larger and having an effect on your general health then consider our Total Diet Replacement (TDR) (Very Low Calorie Diet).
